St. Patrick's Confirmation Students and their Families hosted a well-attended Baby Shower to benefit the Calaveras Pregnancy Center (Door of Hope) during Respect Life Month.  

Thank you, Students and Families, for your generous donations!  We were able to haul a carload of diapers, wipes, baby clothes, and other items to the Calaveras Pregnancy Center today, all because of your generosity!  Parishioners from all churches also gave generous monetary donations with the Baby Bottle Respect Life campaign.  These donations will be used to provide services (counseling, ultrasounds, and other necessities) to mothers as they navigate pregnancy.  

Babies in our local community will benefit from these much-needed items as they get their start in life!  Students practically responded to Jesus' teachings to "Clothe the naked", "Pray for the living", "Feed the hungry", and "Give drink to the thirsty", as they brought two tables' worth of gifts that will be put into action for the "least (smallest / youngest) among us".  

Staff from the Calaveras Pregnancy Center presented information to our Confirmation group on morals and ethics related to the right to life, how expectant mothers and babies are served, as well as information on fetal development and recent legislation.  

Our Confirmation Team shared about God's beautiful creation and His love for all people, how our identities are rooted in Christ, and the sanctity of all life (including the entire age spectrum and unborn children).  Students had a first-hand opportunity to learn about and exercise the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy, values they are learning about as they prepare for the Sacrament.
